During the Focus Meeting the participants will be divided into smaller groups. These workshops will focus on different things related to ESD and the topics of the Focus Meeting and the workshops are based on the Gothenburg Recommendations on Education for Sustainable Development. These recommendations have been developed by the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology together with the organization SWEDESD and UNESCO.
The topics for the Focus Meeting are:
- Access for all to a process of lifelong learning
- ESD and gender
- Learning for change
- Professional development to strenghten ESD across all sectors
- ESD in the curriculum
- Sustainable Development in practice (good examples of ESD)
- Student organizations roles as ESD promoters
When you apply for the Focus Meeting you should select one of these topics for your paper/project/poster (if you have any) and your choice of topic will also affect what workshops you will attend. Topics 1-6 are derived from the Gothenburg Recommendations on ESD.
