Alliance for Global Sustainability (AGS)
The Alliance for Global Sustainability (AGS) is a network of international science and technology-based universities committed to joint research, education, and outreach who have been focusing on “pathways to sustainability” for the past decade. The AGS was formed to help address the complex issues that lie at the intersection of environmental, economic, and social goals.
Youth Encounter on Sustainability (YES) Programmes
Coordinated by ETHSustainability (Zurich) and supported by the AGS, the YES program is targeted to upper undregraduates, Masters and PhD level high potential students and focuses on delivering knowledge and skills to address the multidisciplinary challenges of sustainable development. A typical course is two weeks in duration and covers an intensive program with lectures, field trips, guest speakers, group work, case studies, role plays, simulation games, creative arts, and student projects.
oikos is an international student organisation for sustainable economics and management, and a leading reference point for the promotion of sustainability change agents.
Samsaara is a network of young people exploring and documenting living examples of sustainability across the world. The word samsaara comes from the Sanskrit language – supposedly the very first spoken language in the world. In English, its closest meaning is „the cycle of worldly existence”.
